Kevin Burkhoff (Jeffrey Combs) was a world-renowned scientist before suffering a mental breakdown and being committed to Abendson Psychiatric Hospital. He was fortunately cured thanks to a device constructed by Tess Doerner, a 4400 and fellow hospital patient. After his "awakening," Kevin was hired by The 4400 Center where he helped uncover the NTAC promicin inhibitor that almost wiped out The 4400. Since then, Kevin has immersed himself in the study of promicin -- the chemical substance in 4400s responsible for their abilities. Determined to discover the secret behind the mysterious substance, Kevin began injecting promicin into his system to study the effects.
The future chose Kyle Baldwin (Chad Faust), but when his cousin Shawn Farrell tried to protect him, Shawn was taken instead and Kyle was left comatose for three years. Kyle's life was given a second chance when Shawn used his 4400 healing ability to bring Kyle out of his coma. But when Kyle awoke, he was not, in fact, himself. Instead he was inhabited by a being from the future, one whose purpose was to warn humanity of the coming catastrophe. Following a year in quarantine Kyle was considered cured. But Kyle continued to have blackouts for long spans of time, having no recollection of the things he had done, including the assassination of Jordan Collier.
Although Shawn was able to eventually free Kyle of whatever power still had a hold on him, Kyle turned himself in to the authorities and is currently awaiting trial for Collier's murder.

BIO A wife and mother before her abduction, Lily Tyler (Laura Allen), returned to find her husband, Brian, re-married and daughter, Heidi, unaware of her existence. Unbeknownst to Lily, she and Richard had conceived a child in the future but it wasn't until her return that Lily learned of her pregnancy.
From the beginning, Lily noticed a strange connection to her unborn daughter Isabelle. She knew what her daughter was thinking and Isabelle, from the womb, could control her actions in certain situations. After Isabelle's birth, and while on the run from Jordan Collier and NTAC, Lily continued to feel an extreme connection with her daughter. Yet regardless of this strong maternal instinct, Lilly finds herself frightened at times by Isabelle and her powers.

BIO Maia Skouris (Conchita Campbell) is the oldest 9-year-old you know. The first of the known abductees, she disappeared in 1946 and returned having not aged a day. Blessed with clairvoyance, Maia is often tortured by visions of the future. Her family long gone and unable to connect to her past, Maia was adopted by NTAC agent Diana Skouris. In an effort to fully assimilate herself to a seemingly normal life, Maia claimed she was no longer plagued by her visions. But secretly, she was recording them in a hidden diary. Now, following the promicin inhibitor experiment, Maia's abilities have evolved to an unprecedented level, overwhelming her with visions of the future.
Matthew Ross (Garret Dillahunt) is a lobbyist in the Collier organization who joined The 4400 to advise Shawn Farrell after Jordan Collier's death. Ross was intent on carrying out Jordan's plans for The Center, even if it required manipulation and working against The 4400s themselves. Ross is just as ethically gray as his predecessor ... and as driven. His objectives are still somewhat unclear to those around him, including his unknown and seemingly questionable intentions towards Isabelle.

BIO A pilot in the Korean War who disappeared in 1951, Richard Tyler (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali) returned to find love with fellow 4400 Lily Moore, the granddaughter of his pre-abduction fiancé. Unbeknownst to Richard and Lily, they had conceived a child in the future but it wasn't until their return that they learned of Lily's pregnancy. After the birth of their daughter, Isabelle, and fearing for their child's safety, Richard and Lily lived a life on the run, hiding from Jordan Collier and NTAC. Eventually, however, the family made peace with Jordan and settled at The 4400 Center.
But Richard's hope for a peaceful life was cut short by drastic changes in his life. Overnight, his daughter changed from an infant to a grown woman, while his telekinetic ability began to appear.
